February 2007 - Local Group Promotes Economic Development
Ski Village Developer Set to Close on Two Local Ranches
As previously reported, Red McCombs has plans for more development in the Rio Grande Valley. The Twin Pines Ranch and the Flying W Ranch will likely be developed into 2 residential communities. Twin Pines is located on the north side of Pronghorn Ranch and may be the site for future employee housing for the Ski Village. Plans for the Flying W, near South Fork River Ranches, include a golf course community, cattle ranch or a high-end residential development.
Local Non Profit Group Promotes Economic Development
The Upper Rio Grande Economic Development Council (URGEDC) is a new group designed to promote the economic development in the Rio Grande Valley. Some of their goals include: Attracting businesses to the Valley; Become the center of communication for development; and Promote the area to those outside the Valley.
